Welcome, Summer!

Below are a few HOA updates/reminders:

  • Landscape Updates: Our plants at the front entrance did not survive the Spring, and we have since replanted.  We will continue to keep an eye on them during these very warm summer days. Drainage and erosion improvements will be made to the gravel path at the front entrance at the end of the month.
  • Golf Carts and General Safety on our Roads:  Summer and warmer temps tend to bring more golf cart activity in the neighborhood.  Please use caution at all intersections and mind the 20 m.p.h. posted speed limit. REMINDER: Golf cart drivers in SC must be at least 16 years old with a valid drivers license. More info on SCDMV rules are noted below:
    • SCDMV – Golf Carts
      • Before you or someone you know takes a golf cart for a drive, be sure to follow the checklist below:
        • The golf cart must be insured, permitted, and registered with SCDMV using the following link, http://scdmvonline.com/Vehicle-Owners/Types-Of-Vehicles/Golf-Cart.
        • The golf cart must remain within 4 miles of an address listed on the SCDMV permit.
        • The golf cart may be operated on roads with posted speeds of 35 mph or less.
        • The golf cart may be operated during daylight hours only.
        • The driver must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver’s license.
  • The Neighborhood Speed Limit is 20 mph: School is out, the weather is warm, and there are more children and adults on the roads. Please use caution at all intersections.  Many of our neighbors walk before dawn and after dusk, so please be careful as you leave/return to the neighborhood.
  • On Street Parking: To ease street congestion and allow safe passage of  vehicles, we ask neighbors to park in their garages or driveways, when possible.
  • Contacting the Board:  The best way to contact the Board is through the contact form on the website or via email: BeckenhamFortMill@gmail.com. We welcome your ideas and input!
